This custom built unit is our take on a traditional Welsh dresser with a delicate ‘staff bead’ around the drawers and doors. Our client popped in to the workshop, bringing photo examples of furniture and features that they would like to incorporate. We then visited their home to assess dimensions and installation. European Oak was used for the shelves, top and skirting, with framework and doors made using German steamed beech. The cabinet was then hand painted in farrow and ball ‘skimming stone’ acrylic eggshell. All unpainted oak is protected with a satin finish hard wax oil.
